Description

Gravastar Mercury M1 gaming mouse

Review sample provided by Gravastar

Gravastar is a company known for their unsual sci-fi theme computer accessories. I’ve reviewed their Alpha65 and Delta35 mecha-inspired GaN chargers previously.

Gravastar’s latest product for the end of 2023 is a gaming mouse that looks alien-inspired with an exo-skeleton body. The price is USD 139.95.

Design

This design looks so cool and is so different compared to the countless designs out there. That little thing beside is a receiver with 4K Hz polling rate — requires cable connection.

Unlike typical gaming mice with a polling rate of up to 1000Hz, this mouse supports 4000Hz high-speed polling rate for faster aiming and precise accuracy.

The exo-skeleton back design is made with magnesium alloy and is so strong that I can’t even flex it no matter how much force I apply.

This design provides good ventilation for the palm because of the hollow design beneath the exo-skeleton.

The inner body has a glow light that changes colours when the mouse is in use.

The two side button shortcuts are customisable with the driver.

There’s a little button beside the scroll wheel to switch between different drive DPI settings.

There’s a switch beneath the mouse for power, Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz connection. There’s a slot for storing the 2.4Ghz USB-A receiver.

This mouse looks good from all sides.

One downside is the location of the USB-C charging port which is recessed too much behind the exo-skeleton. You have to use the included USB-C charging cable in order to reach that port. All my other USB-C cables could not reach the port.

The mouse is quite comfortable in my average-sized hand.

Clicks are loud but not too loud.

Performance is fantastic. This mouse is very responsive. The maximum resolution of 26,000 DPI is almost too responsive and not recommended for use on small displays, e.g. laptop displays. This mouse excels when used with larger displays. You can of course switch between different resolution using the button on top of the mouse.

Conclusion

The Gravastar Mercury M1 gaming mouse looks great and works well.

The pricing is pricey. This is more expensive than many of the gaming mice from Razer and ASUS.

The huge selling point of the mouse to me is the organic design and the addition of the glow light is awesome. When using the mouse, you can see the light underneath your palm from the side of your eye. It’s really cool.

So is this worth the money? You can decide.
