The design philosophy is simple: How can we maximize heat dissipation and reduce performance drop-off over time as much as possible, so gamers can maintain peak performance for their entire gaming session, whether that be a 24-hour livestream or a 2-hour session after a long day of school/work.
That’s why we increased the number of fan blades and heat pipe coverage. Adding the additional heat pipe directly over the CPU and GPU allowed us to increase airflow significantly and more quickly evacuate hot air from critical areas. This resulted in a device that’s 12% quieter and 19% cooler gen-over-gen. That means you not only get smoother, quieter gaming, but also a much more comfortable typing experience.
